At the Congress in Maribor earlier this year, it was agreed that the General Assembly of Union SCIPT 2009 will be organised by Sport Club Elion in Otepaa, Estonia between 28th and 31st May 2009.

The first Board meeting after the Congress 2008 took place in Oslo 8th – 12th October. The meeting was organized by Posten/Bring.

From 3rd to 10th September a group from CDCR dos CTT went to Cyprus for an exchange with people from Cyprus Telecom.

The Tournament was planned to be helt in the last part of October. However, the Tounament is postponed to 2009.

Dear friends, As promised during the Congress in Maribor, Slovenia we are publishing the presentation of Philippe Fabris about the participation on Union SCIPT events.

In Switzerland, Belgium Post secured a place in next year's football finals after winning the Group. The Finals will be held in Malta and will be organised by GO.

Netherlands TNT won the Volleyball Championships in Espinho, Portugal earlier this month.

The Cross Country Championships which were sceduled to be held in Switzerland from the 18th till the 21st, 2008 are being cancelled.

The 7th Union SCIPT Volleyball Championships will be held in ESPINHO, Portugal between the 9th and the 15th of June 2008

During the Congress in Maribor Nazario Gargano, CRAL, Italy Post, and Ivo Tomc, Slovenia Telecom, was awarded with the title of "Member of Honuor".

"The closing of this Congress brings with it another chapter in the glorious career of our dear friend and colleague Gunnar", the new President, John Saliba, said during the Congress in Maribor when Gunnar was passing on the baton of presidency.

It is customary at the General Assembly to honour some of our fellow delegates for their contribution to the Union.

CDCR dos CTT Portugal is the first football team from Group B to reach the Football Finals

The first UNION SCIPT Songfestival is being organized by the Sports and Recreation Committee of Telekom Slovenia in cooperation with PVTNT The Netherlands Post and PVKPN The Netherlands Telecom.
