Regulations for the golf championships

These Regulations have been revised and approved by the General Assembly 16 June 2007 in Tällberg, Sweden.

Article 1 - General

Unless otherwise stated in the Union SCIPT General Regulations, or these Regulations, the Rules of the Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews - www.randa.org/  - shall apply.

Article 2 – Golf course and rules/restrictions

The Championship shall be conducted according to the circumstances of the Golf course nominated by the Organiser. It is recommended that the Championships will run three days of competition: 1st day – team event; 2nd and 3rd day – individual event.

Article 3 – Number of players/composition of team


3.1 Participation, see article 2.3.1 in the General Regulations. The Championship is open to national/company and club teams within the Union Member. Each of these can participate in the Individual Championship.

3.2 These players may form a maximum of teams possible for the Team championship (Ladies’ Teams and Men’s Teams).

3.3 A team may consist of five members. Four team members must play; one member may be substituted in case of incapacity certified by a doctor.

Article 4 - Officials

The Union member entrusted with the organisation of the Championship will provide qualified officials.
